Anyone play Mahjong Quest III Tournament at iWin?

I play the quest game and do very well. I play the tournament game and lose. Anyone know what the secret strategy is? Sometimes my opponents are able to make “matches” of non-matching tiles and make nearly triple my score although I finish the board. What’s the deal?
