Can anyone give me a simple guide to play mahjong?

I am in China where it is played everywhere and I want to join in.

    That’s a good question! Sorry I’m here but can’t answer it. I posted, because I like to play the single game where you play by yourself. I’d sure like to know how to play with other people! …hmm..not sure that came out right.

    There is a site where you can play against others competitively. You need to register and make a post or 2 in the forums to get points- but its a very good set-up, and quite competitive!
    Look in the left column menu for Flash Arcade.
